This wiki says recharge cost = 80 coins, it wants 1000 to recharge...does anyone know why?
What's on your mind?
I thought we got 100 cash when we leveled up? I didn’t get mine.

Yesterday, Wikipool's theme was briefly modified, so this post will evaluate all recent changes as of November 21st, 2015.
The logo was changed to a more modern one, using Inkscape; it was created by me, and please feel obliged to ask me how I made it, or if you would request me to make one, feel free ;). It is inspired by the GoInkscape logo, and was changed because the old one seemed a little, well, old. The new one features a grey 'wiki' and a seemingly electrified 'Pool', all stylised in bold letters. The font is Poetsen One, for those who are interested in it. The old wordmark/logo can be found here.
The favicon (or a 'favourite icon', the icon is aligned to the left side of the tab) was also changed from a simple 8 ball to a new icon, featuring two circles and an '8'. You can view the former favicon here (click on 'File History' and view the revision from June 25th, 2015).

It's an ongoing problem: anonymous editors vandalising pages. Ever since our spotlight in October, there has been a sudden increase in anonymous editing, which is great — but not when it's not what they call "contributing". Using an old laptop is tedious, especially when you have to patrol WikiActivity steadfastly, jumping to evaluate recent edits made. But the problem is, almost all of those edits are not constructive, problematic, cleverly concealed behind simple edit summaries. It's annoying, it truly is. So I'm removing anonymous editing for good. Yes, it's not coming back, and it probably will stay like that. As unfortunate as it is the right thing to do, there's no other solution. I'm sorry this is a negative way to celebrate Wikipool's increasing popularity, but, in truth, the few edits made by new users are mostly a hindrance; and it's not in the way of people just making mistakes with coding, etc. it's the fact that people are deliberately submitting useless edits that aren't adding anything to Wikipool's content. If you think a wiki is comprehensive, there's no need to vandalise it, as they say. Wikipool is incomplete, but is full of information, so we don't need vandalism with a project that could potentially benefit you.

- Welcome to the second issue of The Wikipool Gazette, where you can read up to the latest Wikipool and 8 Ball Pool news: today's post will detail our new project - fanon and guides. Our policies do state that fanon should be removed but, due to the lack of articles on the wiki, fanon and guides will now become Wikipool's main focus, or at least for now they will. I recently contacted Staff using Special:Contact, requesting them to create two namespaces titled "Fanon" and "Guide"; namespaces are basically words that come before page titles that allow them to be grouped, or almost categorised; Special:Contact is a good example.
There has been no recent 8 Ball Pool news post-September, unfortunately. But, instead of relying on The Wikipool Gazette, you can see the forum board itself with all of the updates, and perhaps tell us anything we've missed. -> http://www.miniclip.com/social/8-ball-pool/forum/en/#/discussion/264/sept-23-updated-tweaks-fixes-and-change-notes

- Welcome to the very first issue of The Wikipool Gazette, where you can read up to the latest Wikipool and 8 Ball Pool news: today's post will commemorate Wikipool's milestone of 200 articles, which was completed on Saturday, October 3, 2015. You may be asking yourself, 'what does this mean?' Well, it's rather simple: we can now put Wikipool up for a spotlight! This means that Wikipool will be (or might be, as there's a waiting list :P) will appear in the 'Around Wikia's Network' module, which will hopefully allow us to build our community. Meanwhile, with Wikipool looking closer to complete, we will be able to focus on the 'community' side of the wikia, which will mean that we will possibly be releasing our new project, guides! The guides project will include building of a large, complex article, but will eventually allow us to achieve the making of guides, which will be a great accomplishment.
Meanwhile, for some 8 Ball Pool news...
As of September 17, the V.I.P. Club has been active, and is a new function of the game we are looking forward to cover. Keep your eyes peeled, everyone! On September 23, however, the table for the iPad 3 and 4 began to display correctly, and the Miniclip team are working to fix this. You can read all latest updates of the game here.
Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for the next issue! DRAGONLEAF5678 20:50, October 5, 2015 (UTC)
As some of you may know, Wikipool's Cloth Pattern pages have one main issue—images. Most PNG files retrieved from Miniclip's system of cloth patterns come out transparent and hard to see; this means that we'll have to use our own brains to figure this one out. I've decided that I will be using Inkscape to convert files to SVG, change their colouring, and change them to PNG; this will mean that we can have our images coming out in high definition, but with only minor mistakes. You can help Wikipool by pointing out our mistakes (if we make some :P) and even by adding them. You can ask me for details.
Here's two links you can use to compare images, before and after:

- As you may know, Wikipool will be undergoing some changes in the next few weeks, where new pages will be added rapidly, as 8 Ball Pool has changed a lot in the past few months. A lot.
Unfortunately, Wikipool hasn't been going too well recently; most of our contributors are now inactive, but we're going to change that! We hope you'll enjoy the changes as much as we do.
I will be giving Harmless Venom (formerly Thunderberry) a promotion as he agrees to help out with the wiki. It's gonna be great! As a brief list of what changes will be implemented, here it is:
- New cues will be added
- Some recent new features will be given pages
- Stub pages will be updated
- The wiki's theme will have some minor changes
...and lots, lots more. On a final note, the homepage will also be given a notice regarding the project.
Thanks for reading! We hope you'll stick around soon!
On a final, final note (:P): this post will be on the forum rather than as a blog post for highlighting reasons - we want this post to have as many views as possible!
Hello wikians. I have came up with an idea that would not only expand the wiki, but help "8 Ballers" meet up, make friends and play 8 Ball Pool together. I am planning to create a page that would have all information necessary so you can meet and play with other players. The information would probably have the Unique ID, Level, League, In Game name and etc. If you wanna help me/us make this page please reply down below. I am also planning to make a template to help you have an easier time editing the page.
I would really appreciate insights, comments, suggestion and help.:)
Hello 8 Ballers,
Yes, the blog post you've all been waiting for is here.
We're at 100! I'd like to use this forum post as a tribute to some of our heroic contributors here. Our 100th page was the Japan Cue. We're getting more comprehensive by the minute! Here's a short list of some of the things we need to do:
- Complete cues.
- Complete Browse articles. A lot of them, at this moment in time, are stubs.
...and that's pretty much it. :P
Thank you for reading this post! I hope you will stick around to watch Wikipool grow from its roots even further. :) DRAGONLEAF5678 23:55, July 13, 2015 (UTC)
